The Key to long term success in business has more to do with ethics than tactics.

This article is not about tips or tricks to make Your Product successful on the web.

We won't be talking about keywords, AdSense or SEO except for indirectly. These are all tools that can help you market a product well when used correctly but what we are taking about is more basic.

Take a good look at the majority of the products being marketed online. I mean take a really good look. What do 99% of them have in common? They are crap or electronic books and web sites about how to best market the crap. When looking at Internet marketing you will be simply amazed at the sea of mediocrity and downright criminal deceit you encounter.

Let's look at an example.

Acai Berry Products are very popular and there are some sites that sell them in an honest fashion. Do you know how the most popular sites sell them? First they pretend the ad is from some house Frau who amazingly lost 100 lbs. taking the product. Then they tell you you can try it for free, just pay a small shipping fee for the bottle of pills. Are you with me so far?

OK, our little shopper thinks "Hey, Mary Haus Frau lost all her flab and it only cost $6, I'm gonna get me some!" So Madame happily gives her card numbers to the friendly Secure Shopping site and within a week to 10 days she gets her pills.

A few days after she gets her fat go juice pills Madame gets another little surprise. Her card is charged $87 and will be charged that amount each month for renewing her supply of colon busting juice. See, down in the tiny print at the bottom of the page is a very very small phrase " Terms and Conditions".

This is intentionally in print so small that you will overlook it. The terms are you have 7 days from time of purchase to cancel the order, if not it's $87 a month.. Each month. This is the sort of ethical misbehavior the Internet is rife with. Just ask anyone who ever tried an MLM program.

To really be successful take the time to research and develop the very best product you can. Advertise and market it in an ethical manner and even though the returns early on may be small, over a period of time your rewards will be greater. All those flashy lying businesses will be gone and yours Will still be making a profit.

It's still true in every endeavor of life: what you put into it is what you get out of it.
