How to Make Money Writing for Upfront Pay Content Sites

Can You Write 3 Articles Every Day?
Earn upfront money at textbroker.com
Textbroker is a really good place to connect with clients who need work done. The pay is low in the beginning, I know. You will start off as a level 2 0r level 3 writer earning up to $5 for an article but this is a case where diligence and patience pays off.
Write quality pieces for the clients and your work rating will increase allowing you access to the higher paying titles and satisfied clients will begin to ask for you specifically which will result in even more work. I have been writing for textbroker clients for a while now and have had little trouble getting work. It is a good way to diversify your sources of income while you build residual income from HubPages and your own blogs and websites.
Upfront earnings at Writeraccess.com
Writer access is a newer portal that connects clients with writers. Like textbroker you start off a little slowly but build up to better paying work over time as clients see your work, your writer's profile and your stats.
One thing I really like at writer access is their love lists. Satisfied clients have the option of adding you to their love lists and give you priority for writing their projects. Work well and your stable of satisfied clients can keep you pretty busy with assignments. Writer access does pay better in the beginning than some of the others with articles paying about $8-$10 US for 400 words (average).
Earn upfront pay at Demand Studios
Updated 11-01-2011
The information below is still valid but Demand Media is going through some changes that will make it more difficult to write for them. Their business model is changing post panda and only a few select writers are now getting much work from them. There is still some work if you are a current DMS writer but as always, you're better off with a diversified group of income sources including local clients and residual income from sites like HubPages.
First let me tell you I'm not trying to get you to join anything, buy anything or do anything. What you do is your own business. I just want to share with you a simple way I've found to earn a little money by doing something I enjoy- writing.
I'm probably a little slower writer than many of you. It takes me about an hour to research and write an article that I think is worth publishing. That's OK for me because the people I write for are picky about quality content.
I won't tell you which company I'm writing for as there are several but know that the companies I write for are all listed in this article. I write content for web sites who then publish it for their clients. The companies pay me for each article I submit and I get paid every week.
My average pay per article is about $15.00. It varies some but stays close to that figure. If you are serious about writing as a career you should have no problem getting the same.
. Now let's do some math.
3 articles a day times 6 days = 18 articles And 18 articles times $15=$270/week
That's over $1000.00/ month for writing 3 articles a day. Think you can do that?
Content Companies that offer upfront pay
These are some of the companies that pay pretty well for content. Some of them will make you submit test articles to see how good your work is. Don't be offended, it will be worth it if you get the gig.
Demand Studios
This is a content provider for sites such as eHow and quite a few others. They pay twice weekly into your pay pal account and every article is subjected to copy-editing. Don't do anything but your own work or you'll get fired pretty quick. Their editors are sharp. Recent changes at DMS are forcing me to remove them from this list.
To Find some more Little Known sites that Offer upfront pay to freelancers
Here are some more:
- textbroker.com ( low pay per article but lots of work available)
- content corp http://contentcorp.net/professional_writers_wanted.htm
- Right Copywriter http://www.rightcopywriter.com/
- Content Mantra http://www.contentmantra.com/work_with_us.htm
An Update on Writing for Demand Media Studios
Update: 10/25/2011
With the changes being made at DMS it will be difficult to make much writing for them unless you are in their First Look program, The concept of working for upfront pay site is still valid, however the truth remains that earning money as a freelance writer online requires you to diversify your income sources.
Revenue pay sites like (my fave!) HubPages and creating residual income with your own blogs and websites should be combined with writing for content mills and writing and selling eBooks. This creates a more reliable income flow so that a shake up at one site (like recently happened at DMS) won't hurt your earnings.
Sites like textbroker.com and writeraccess.com still offer real opportunities for freelance writers to create good content and build their business. I have found a new site to tell you all about called Interact Media. I'm still researching it but I think it may be another source for freelance writers to earn some quick upfront pay for their work. I will share my findings in an separate Hub.

Hi RVDaniels. This is a great article with lots of information. Thanks so much. Also, I'm glad you like my story The Odd House on River Street. Have a great evening.
Well structured informative article with useful information. Good job. Thanks - GC
Very usefull article I'll have to check out some of the places listed to see how I do on them. Thankyou so much I'm definetly bookmarking this hub
That's a great calculation to lure people in. But personally I believe that we should expect $1 for 1 article and work in that way. Thinking abt $15 an article and not getting it would upset many writers and lose their interest in the job. When one expects too much out of something and does not get it, one develops a tendency to quit.
I am sure that none of us want to quit on something right!
I am so happy to have found this article...great resources, thanks!
Interesting hub. Will bookmark this one and come back and study it. Thanks for sharing.

Informative hub. Thanks
Some times I regard freelancing as slaving while others makes profit from your work, as the intellectual property of your work is wholly sold to the highest bidder. Meaning no residual income from your hard work unlike hubpages and other sites like squidoo. But after reading this hub i'm begining to have a retink. Thanks a million as your info will be put to great use. I'll also write and share my experience as regards freelane writing when the dividends starts to accrue. Once more Great hub and thumbs up!
very good information, thanks
Good information. You could definately earn $1000 a month on HubPages. I've done some analysis on my own articles and I'm amazed at how much money they're making.
I have not so far written on any such freelance sites so far. May be i should start now.
I have recently started writing for text broker. I found your article as I would like to earn more with my writing. I applied a few minutes ago with Demand Studios and hope to hear back from them soon. Thank you for the information.
Good job Ronnie! Glad to see you are doing something you love! It sounds very intriguing!

I would like to write articles
A very useful Hub. Some good info here. Many thanks
I write as an ehow member, I always get confused between Demand Studios and Demand Media. Thanks for your helpful hub.
I am new to the idea of writing online content. How does this work? Do you get paid per article and how much do you get paid? How many words constitutes an article? Are we talking novel size articles? Is there a need for instructional type articles and travel articles? These two areas interest me the most. Any feedback that anyone could offer would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Lisa in Central NY.
Thank you for sharing that information, I will try and make contact.
Thanks for this informative hub. I bookmarked it.
Thanks Ronnie, I am new to Blogging and writing so this may be an avenue to have fun and make some cash.
Christian
This is great advice but sometimes there are writing sites that are only for US, UK or Canadian citizens. I am an Asian and it's sometimes hard to find writing sites that could cater for us. Thanks though. I will try some of them. The writing sites that I write for pay only in cents per article if someone reads the article.
Very informative!!!!!!!!!!!

This is good information. I've been approved by Demand Studios and TextBroker, but I hadn't heard of the others. As it happens, I haven't written anything for either of the two with which I'm signed up. That's just me, though.
