Baghdad Bombs Kill 63, Including Children

The Americans troops are gone and Iraq is in turmoil. Insanity runs rampant in the streets of Baghdad as terrorist set off bomb after bomb. 14 attacks, 63 dead and 185 injured by a wave of well coordinated attacks on both Shiite and Sunni neighborhoods. One of the targets destroyed is a junior school.

Now that the American and British soldiers are gone the government of Iraq is responsible for security in the nation. There is no one else to point the finger at; the “great shaitans” are on their way home for Christmas and Boxing Day. The question remains, are the Iraqi people capable to govern themselves? Do they have the resolve and courage needed to put foolish religious and political differences aside, crush the terrorists and live in peace?

The Arabic and Persian peoples who live in the area have a long and distinguished history of creating great science, literature, art and peaceful empires. They can recreate some of that greatness by proving that debate and compromise are more powerful than bombs and radical religious ideology.

Build a stable government in Iraq that shows respect to all people no matter what their religion, race or political views are. Prove to the world that terror and murder do not rule in Iraq. Stop killing innocents and children in the name of the god who truly will condemn such acts as evil. Show the world that real peace in the Middle East begins in Iraq.
